On June 22, Huazhong Agricultural University (HZAU) held its 2024 Graduation and Degree Conferral Ceremony, bidding a magnificent farewell to over 7,800 graduates.
The university bestowed doctoral degrees upon 447 graduates, master's degrees upon 2,935 graduates, and bachelor's degrees upon 4,445 graduates.
On behalf of the university, President Li Zhaohu extended his congratulations to all the graduates. He reflected on their growth during their time at the university and encouraged them to apply what they have learned in their future work and life, contributing to the prosperity of the country and the rejuvenation of the nation.
Secretary of the CPC HZAU Committee Gao Chi encouraged graduates to work hard for a glorious life and to contribute to the rejuvenation of the nation. He expressed his wishes for them to always be vigorous, and become talents who can shoulder heavy tasks and responsibilities for national development and the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
Graduate representative Lang Zihan spoke at the ceremony, who said that during her four years studying at HZAU, she not only gained professional knowledge but also learned how to be a better person and how to conduct herself. She thanked the university and the teachers for their hard work and careful guidance and stated that she would carry the expectations and blessings of her alma mater as she moves forward into the broader world.

This year, the university presented its graduates with the "Shishan Loong Ball" as a parting gift. In Chinese culture, the "Loong Ball" has a multi-dimensional and multi-layered meaning, representing strength and wisdom, unity and cooperation, prosperity and beauty, auspiciousness and good fortune. The graduates are expected to be dedicated to the people, invigorate the spirit of perseverance, and add glory to the new chapter of Chinese-style modernization construction.
Led by Party Secretary Gao Chi, all teachers and students together waved and tossed their "Shishan Loong Balls."
