Huazhong Agricultural University (HZAU) was presented a national flag by the Tian'anmen Management Committee of the Beijing Municipal People's Government on Nov 1.
Gao Chi, secretary of the CPC HZAU Committee, and Wang Congyan, deputy secretary of the CPC HZAU Committee, led a total of 29 teachers and students to participate in the activity.
The national flag guard arrived at the Tian'anmen Square to prepare for the flag-raising ceremony at dawn on Nov 1. With the magnificent national anthem of "March of the Volunteers", the teachers and students could not help but sing "Ode to the Motherland".

After the ceremony, the teachers and students attended the ceremony of giving of the national flag.
Yao Hui, a member of the Party leadership group of the Tian'anmen Management Committee and deputy director of the committee, and Gao signed a Tian'anmen Square Flag Gift Agreement on behalf of the two sides.

After welcoming the HZAU teachers and students,Yao noted that the national flag is the dignity and symbol of the country, and every national flag raised in Tian 'anmen Square is precious, especially this one presented to HZAU, since it was raised on Oct 2, coinciding with the anniversary of the university.
He said he hoped that HZAU can take good care of and use this precious national flag well.
Gao thanked the committee for its care and support for HZAU, promising that the university will strictly follow the National Flag Law of the People's Republic of China, further deepen patriotic education, and constantly encourage the teachers and students to contribute to the people and the nation.
The teachers and students also visited the Chairman Mao Memorial Hall and watched the training of the Ceremonial Brigade of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.

The students and teachers felt a strong sense of patriotism after the visit, and were inspired to devote themselves to the national development with courage and firm beliefs.
