A delegation of six individuals from Lincoln University in New Zealand visited Huazhong Agricultural University (HZAU) to advance collaborative efforts in academic programs from April 7 to 11.

The Joint Institute of Huazhong Agricultural University and Lincoln University presented the delegation with an overview of the progress students have made since the enrollment of the 2024 cohort. Moreover, the two parties engaged in six discussions covering topics such as student admissions, academic support, research collaboration, and international programs during summer and winter breaks.
On April 8, the delegation visited various sites of HZAU to gain insight into the experimental teaching conditions and the implementation of smart teaching in horticulture and ecology programs.
On April 9, the Lincoln University delegation participated in tea picking and tea culture experiences alongside HZAU volunteers.

Professor Hugh Bigsby, dean of Agribusiness and Commerce at Lincoln University, delivered a professional lecture on "First Year to Final Year - Your Academic Journey", sharing experiences of academic growth and professional development at the university.
Dr Tian Bin, a Ph.D. in Wine Science and Senior Lecturer and senior lecturer at Lincoln University, discussed his time at HZAU to Lincoln University and shared insights on academic growth and cross-cultural adaptation.
