A laboratory achievement appreciation and exchange meeting for graduates of Huazhong Agricultural University (HZAU) commenced on June 6.
Special products such as black rice zongzi (sticky rice dumplings wrapped in bamboo leaves), radix isatidis rapeseed sprouts and sweet corn, as well as impressive exhibits like the all-cotton soft towels from the cotton research team and Beiweimei tomatoes from the tomato research team, made a strong showing. Graduating students were invited to experience the fruits of scientific research up close, encouraging them to uphold the spirit of science, cater to societal needs, and pursue innovative values in their future endeavors.

"I never expected that the varieties cultivated in the laboratory could be turned into such delicious food!" one graduate exclaimed with a smile.
Moreover, through pull-up display boards, students learned about the arduous "growth trajectory" of some varieties, from germplasm selection and cultivation optimization to practical applications.
As the tasting event was drawing to a close, the spirit of scientific research had already begun to spread. Stories about HZAU's research will continue to be written, and the new generation of students will also inherit the mission of making people's lives easier. They will write a new chapter of strengthening agriculture with technology and serving the people in a broader arena - undoubtedly one of the most precious gifts of the graduation season.
