The International Summer School for "Growth Partners" of National Base for Training Outstanding Students in Basic Biological Sciences 2.0 & CSC International Summer School Program 2025 kicked off at Huazhong Agricultural University (HZAU) on July 11.
The event was attended by 14 Egyptian students from institutions such as Al-Azhar University and Benha University, along with 31 student representatives from the National Base for Training Outstanding Students in Basic Biological Sciences 2.0 and 99 outstanding students from various summer camps.
Professor Qing Ping, vice-president of HZAU, delivered the opening address. He urged the attending students to fortify their professional groundwork, continually innovate, and uphold international cooperation with an open mind.

Distinguished scholars, including Academician Deng Zixin from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Academician Zhang Qifa from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and HZAU, Professor Arp Schnittger from the University of Hamburg in Germany, Academician Pascal Genschik from the Academia Europaea and the University of Strasbourg in France, Professor Zhou Sanhe from the National Chung Hsing University in Taiwan, and Professor Michael Deyholos from the University of British Columbia, delivered a series of academic presentations in English during the conference.

The summer school, lasting for two weeks, will see the students attend academic lectures, seminars, and research training sessions. They will also visit the Biolake in Wuhan and off-campus internship sites to engage in research and gain practical experience.
