Huazhong Agricultural University (HZAU) held a grand ceremony on Sept 10 to celebrate the 41st Teachers' Day, honoring the contributions of its faculty and encouraging them to find fulfillment in a changing world while adhering to the university's values.
In his address, President Yan Jianbing urged faculty members to find happiness amid change. He urged them to stay true to HZAU's core values of "promoting agricultural sciences and glorifying the nation" and its spirit of "diligent study, hard work, establishing oneself, and helping others".
He encouraged the faculty to strive for excellence, making greater contributions to building HZAU into a world-class university and strengthening the nation's efforts in education, science, talent, and agriculture.
A highlight of the ceremony was the recognition of 21 teachers who have devoted 30 years to the university. Professor Hu Yingen of the College of Public Administration, speaking on their behalf, shared heartfelt stories from his 30-year career. He encouraged young teachers to "take root and grow upward", preserve their vitality, and continue the legacy of the "Lion Mountain Great Teacher" spirit.
Professor Hu also reminded the younger generation to remain committed to their mission of cultivating talent for the nation. He inspired them to embrace the responsibilities of the new era, keeping a great cause in their hearts while maintaining a pure spirit.
