Huazhong Agricultural University (HZAU) and Twins Group signed a cooperation deal on Sept 21 to combine scientific research with industry innovation.
Party Secretary of HZAU, Yao Jianglin, praised Twins Group's practical approach, noting both share the mission to serve national goals. He stressed the need to mix science and industry by creating new models for education and tech integration to support the sector's development. He suggested starting with a joint research institute for phased cooperation.
Bao Hongxing, chairman of Twins Group, outlined the company's vision to build the world's largest hog-raising service platform by creating a full swine industry value chain. He pointed out the need for cutting-edge technology and talent to fix sector issues. With HZAU's leadership in swine research, the partnership fits well. Bao expressed a strong desire for long-term cooperation to tackle key issues such as breeding, nutrition, and environmental technology.
The event ended with the unveiling of the Future Swine Industry Research Institute, the primary platform for the joint efforts, pooling the strengths of both academia and industry to deliver valuable social and industrial outcomes.
