The 8th Cross-Border E-commerce International Academic Forum, jointly organized by Huazhong Agricultural University (HZAU) and Yunnan Agricultural University, took place in Kunming, Yunnan, from Sept 20 to 21. The event brought together experts to explore the evolution and future of cross-border e-commerce.
The forum included six keynote speakers, prominent scholars who addressed critical issues such as market systems analysis, value creation for agricultural products through e-commerce, technology application, regional economic cooperation, and talent cultivation. Their discussions offered diverse perspectives on the market, technological, cooperative, and human resource aspects necessary for strong cross-border e-commerce development.
To facilitate deeper discussions, the conference was organized into three parallel sessions. These focused on key topics, including "cross-border e-commerce and agricultural digital transformation", "innovation in cross-border e-commerce supply chains", and "talent cultivation for cross-border e-commerce."
In addition to the academic sessions, the forum included industry reports and a round-table discussion featuring representatives from government, enterprise, and academia. This integrated approach fostered dialogue, connected academic theory with practical application, and strengthened collaboration across sectors to drive future advancements in the global e-commerce landscape.
