On Feb 4, a delegation from Guangxi Yangxiang Group and Guangzhou Yingzi Technology visited Huazhong Agricultural University (HZAU) to advance collaboration between the school and enterprises and drive industry-research innovation.
Shi Liang, the president of Yangxiang Group, reflected on the fruitful history between the two entities, emphasizing that future collaboration should evolve toward a more integrated approach. He encouraged both parties to adopt artificial intelligence to empower the swine and food industries, driving digital transformation in real-world scenarios to set new industry benchmarks.
Shi highlighted the need to break traditional academic boundaries by integrating cross-disciplinary resources — spanning breeding, smart equipment, and digital technology — to build a comprehensive cooperative network. This partnership aims to produce practical innovations and cultivate talented individuals ready for future industry challenges.
HZAU Party secretary Yao Jianglin echoed these sentiments, noting that the partnership has entered a new phase requiring more commitment. He proposed a systemic upgrade of cooperation mechanisms, including better personnel exchange and more scientific evaluation and incentive systems. By utilizing the Hubei Hongshan Laboratory and the new College of Bio-X, HZAU aims to align academic research directly with industrial demands.
This approach seeks to forge a new development pattern where education, scientific breakthroughs, and social services are merged to ensure technological innovations lead to sustainable industry competitiveness.
