The bilateral academic forum between Huazhong Agricultural University (HZAU) and Lincoln University was held in New Zealand from Feb 24–25. Centered on agriculture, the environment, and the economy, the event established a basis for more profound cooperation in scientific research and joint student training.
At the opening, attended by Lincoln's department heads and faculty members, Professor Chad Hewitt, provost of Lincoln University, spoke about the forum's role in promoting these collaborative objectives.
After his speech, HZAU delegates provided an overview of the academic strengths, recent research developments, and international accomplishments of four major departments: the College of Resources and Environment, the College of Horticulture and Forestry Sciences, the College of Economics and Management, and the College of Food Science and Technology.
In breakout sessions the following day, faculty members from both universities presented on topics like sustainable agricultural development, food processing and safety, and efficient resource use.
