Huazhong Agricultural University (HZAU) signed a strategic publishing cooperation agreement with China Agriculture Press on March 26.
The signing ceremony was attended by Li Dapeng, HZAU vice-president, and by Shi Wei, deputy general manager of the press group, along with representatives from the university's Graduate School and the publishing house.
Li noted that the two sides share a solid foundation in agricultural education and have achieved fruitful outcomes in textbook publishing and teaching reform.
As HZAU advances towards high-quality development, he highlighted the efforts to integrate education, technology and talent, including digital resource development, the restructuring of experimental teaching systems, and modular curriculum reform.
Li expressed hope that the partnership will facilitate resource sharing and collaborative innovation, setting a benchmark for higher agricultural education.
Shi said the agreement will help improve the agricultural textbook system and support the cultivation of high-level talent. She added both sides will focus on project-based experimental teaching for graduate students and the training of outstanding agricultural engineers, while jointly developing teaching resource databases and premium academic publications.
During the meeting, HZAU representatives introduced their recent reforms, including AI-driven teaching initiatives. Both sides exchanged views on textbook development, digital teaching resources and international cooperation and reached a broad consensus on high-level agricultural talent training.
The agreement was signed by Li and Shi on behalf of their respective institutions.
