The 2026 rural e-commerce high-quality development capacity building training course commenced on Aug 6 in Jianshi county, Enshi, Hubei province. Co-hosted by the Education and Training College of Huazhong Agricultural University (HZAU) and local authorities, the program aims to elevate the region's digital trade expertise.
Despite Jianshi's abundant selenium-enriched produce — including unique teas, high-mountain fruits, and poultry — its rural e-commerce sector struggles with low operational proficiency, weak brand presence, and limited digital capabilities, hindering online market penetration. In response, county authorities initiated this specialized, practical training to address these critical development bottlenecks.
This initiative builds upon the university's long-standing commitment to Jianshi's rural vitalization, having cultivated over 14,000 local talents and established 53 industrial projects, providing robust technological and human resource support. The intensive seven-day program features expert-led sessions on AI digital applications, short video creation, live streaming, and store operations, aiming to foster skilled local e-commerce professionals.
Attendees, including local e-commerce representatives, lauded the training's practical relevance, expressing their eagerness to translate acquired knowledge into tangible entrepreneurial success and broader community development.
The county e-commerce association affirmed its commitment to consolidating regional supply chains, platform channels, and technological resources, fostering synergistic growth and elevating the entire industry.
