From Aug 2 to 8, Professor Zhang Tao from the College of Food Science & Technology of Huazhong Agricultural University (HZAU) led a group of students to embark on an academic exchange visit to Kasetsart University in Bangkok.
The visit focused on food science, aquaculture, and tropical agriculture, featuring seminars, field observations, and cultural experiences to deepen cooperation and broaden students' international perspectives.
The opening ceremony at Kasetsart University's SciKU building was attended by Professor Kittipong Rattanaporn, who warmly welcomed the delegation and praised the long-standing collaboration between the two institutions.
Students watched a university promotional video, learning about its achievements in agriculture and life sciences. Master's student Wang Yating expressed gratitude for the warm welcome, which eased language barriers.
On Aug 6, the official welcome ceremony for the second Huazhong Agricultural University Overseas Study Camp took place at the agricultural museum of the university. Professor Donludee Jaisut highlighted the stable exchange history between the institutions and looked forward to deepening talent cultivation and research collaboration.
Faculty and students from HZAU shared their research achievements and aspirations for future exchanges. Visits to various faculties and colleges at Kasetsart University provided insights into Thailand's research strengths and educational features. The week-long exchange fostered professional knowledge sharing and cultural growth, leaving a lasting impact on participants.
