The Joint Institute of Huazhong Agricultural University and Lincoln University held its 2026 freshman parent orientation meeting in the university library on Aug 21. Vice-President Qing Ping, along with representatives from Lincoln University and relevant departments, met with over 200 parents to discuss global talent cultivation.
Wang Fei, dean of the joint institute, welcomed the attendees and highlighted the program's dual-degree framework, which blends Chinese and foreign educational advantages. Hugh Bigsby, a representative of Lincoln University, emphasized that the partnership aligns academic disciplines across science, commerce, and the humanities to prepare students for global economic and ecological challenges.
During the interactive session, Qing addressed parent inquiries regarding interdisciplinary learning, home-school collaboration, and career paths. He noted that the institute integrates artificial intelligence into its curricula, encourages early research participation, and ensures students share equal access to institutional resources and dual-degree pathways.
Furthermore, Qing stressed that the institute operates under strict quality standards to support global competitiveness.
The warm and engaging meeting built a bridge for home-school communication, deepening parental understanding of the international cooperative education model and laying a solid foundation for the students' holistic development.
