Huazhong Agricultural University and Hubei Hongshan Laboratory signed a cooperation agreement with the Guangshui Municipal People's Government on Aug 21 to promote rural vitalization and agricultural modernization.
Party secretary Yao Jianglin, Vice-President Yang Shaobo, and other university leaders attended the ceremony alongside Guangshui officials, including the city's Party Secretary Cui Chuanjin and Mayor Deng Xiaofei.
Under the agreement, the three parties will deepen collaboration in talent cultivation, sci-tech achievement transfer, industry-academia integration, and rural vitalization. Additionally, a dedicated agreement focusing on the high-quality development of Guangshui Yanzhihong fresh peaches was signed to strengthen standardized cultivation and brand expansion.
Cui expressed strong support for the partnership, noting Guangshui's solid agricultural foundation and commitment to providing comprehensive policy and service guarantees.
Yao emphasized that the collaboration aligns university research strengths with local development needs, aiming to drive scientific innovation and county-level economic growth through list-based project management and whole-industry-chain services.
