The 2026 International Symposium on Green Agricultural Production took place at Huazhong Agricultural University (HZAU) from Aug 21 to 23, drawing over 100 researchers from domestic and international institutions.
Professor Li Guotian, head of the College of Plant Science & Technology, moderated the opening ceremony.
Throughout the sessions, 18 distinguished young scholars from the United States, Germany, Australia, Japan, and domestic universities presented breakthrough findings on plant-microbe interactions, immune responses, and stomatal immunity. Experts further debated novel disease control techniques, ecological regulation strategies, and sustainable methodologies, offering innovative approaches to agricultural security.
Additionally, eight postdoctoral researchers in plant pathology and crop science delivered English oral reports addressing cutting-edge immunological mechanisms and green prevention.
At the closing ceremony, a professor from the College of Plant Science & Technology at HZAU commended the event for broadening attendees' academic horizons and fostering cross-border collaboration.
He expressed optimism that ongoing dialogues will deepen fundamental research in plant protection, accelerate green technology applications, and contribute actionable solutions to global food security and sustainable agricultural advancement worldwide.
