Huazhong Agricultural University (HZAU) held its first autumn recruitment fair along Cherry Blossom Avenue on Sept 11. During the event, HZAU Deputy Party Secretary Wang Shijie inspected the venue, engaging with employers to discuss talent acquisition and guide student employment initiatives.
The fair featured diverse sectors, including agriculture, biotechnology, advanced manufacturing, and information technology. State-owned enterprises and public institutions accounted for nearly thirty percent of participants. Industry giants such as Yili Group, Qilu Pharmaceutical, Dongfeng Trucks, and China Railway Construction Engineering Group offered extensive opportunities for prospective graduates.
During his tour, Wang conversed with recruiters from enterprises like Dongfeng Trucks to understand companies' hiring demands. He stressed that employment remains a top livelihood priority, urging the university to analyze 2027 graduate demographics precisely, deliver targeted career guidance, and ensure efficient campus recruitment matching.
This semester, HZAU plans to host 10 offline fairs, four online sessions, and specialized industry recruitment events. Alongside 40 career counseling workshops, these efforts aim to enhance students' competitive edge and secure robust employment outcomes.
