A cultural feast among various corners of the globe graced the 2025 New Year Carnival of Huazhong Agricultural University (HZAU) on the evening of Dec 31, allowing teachers and students to bask in a rich tapestry of exotic flavors.
The 2025 New Year Carnival featured a celebration of diverse world cultures. International students from 13 countries took center stage, passionately presenting their native cuisines, showcasing distinctive cultural and creative wares, and introducing the traditions of their homelands to their Chinese counterparts.

In the New Year parade procession, international student representatives adorned themselves in traditional garb from their respective countries, brandishing creatively designed boards bearing "Happy New Year" inscriptions in various languages and waving multicolored glow sticks as they sang and danced.
Illuminated by a dazzling array of lights and colors, they morphed into the "colorful HZAU people", chanting "Happy New Year" and exchanging warm greetings with onlookers lining the parade route.

"We may be far from our hometown, but within these festival grounds, we feel as though we have found a second home, where the joys mirror those of our beloved homelands," said Asif, a Palestinian student.
The harmonious blending of customs from diverse ethnic backgrounds at the 2025 New Year Carnival paints a vivid tableau of the beauty that emerges from cultural exchanges between China and the world.
