On Sept 3, Huazhong Agricultural University (HZAU) welcomed its Class of 2025, a cohort of energetic new students ready to infuse the campus with fresh vitality.
This year, HZAU has enrolled over 4,900 undergraduate freshmen, more than 5,000 graduate students, and 80 international students from 27 countries and regions, all of whom have now joined the HZAU family.
The campus was a scene of warmth and activity on registration day. University buses shuttled students and their luggage, while a steady stream of private cars filled the campus, each one carrying the hopes and expectations of a family.
This welcome event was a genuine relay of warmth, meticulously coordinated to ensure a smooth and efficient process. Various departments and colleges worked together to provide seamless services. Clear signage and guideposts at welcome stations ensured that new students were able to find their way with minimal effort. Volunteers in their signature red vests were a constant presence, answering questions and helping with heavy luggage. Volunteer stations were also stocked with water and other essentials to ensure student comfort.
To make the students feel at home, the university spent the summer renovating dorms. Dormitory managers added thoughtful, personal touches, such as keychains with warm messages and stylish photo walls, making the students' arrival a truly special occasion. This dedication to detail helped ensure the campus felt like a welcoming home from the very first moment.
