Huazhong Agricultural University (HZAU) held its spring job fair for 2026 graduates on March 27, attracting 408 employers and offering nearly 30,000 positions.
Participating organizations spanned a wide range of sectors, including biomedicine, smart agriculture and information technology. More than 4,000 students from HZAU and other universities attended the event and submitted over 6,000 CVs.
HZAU President Yan Jianbing visited the venue to speak with graduates and employer representatives, learning about students' job prospects and companies' recruitment needs.
To offer students suitable jobs, the university invited leading enterprises and institutions from strategic emerging industries. Research institutes, such as Anhui Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences, sought talent in agriculture and life science, while many companies, including Tencent, China State Construction and Yili Group, valued graduates' strong professional foundations. Modern agricultural enterprises were also well represented, reflecting the university's broad disciplinary strengths.
Yan encouraged students to align their career choices with society's needs. Many graduates expressed strong interest in key sectors, including smart agriculture and biomedicine. One student said she hoped to apply her expertise in regions with high demand for agricultural development.
An on-site career guidance zone was set up, where faculty members provided support on resume writing, career planning and job matching, while also collecting employer feedback to further improve talent training.
