A campus club gala took place at the student center on May 23 at Huazhong Agricultural University. The event showcased the creativity and energy of student clubs with a wide range of stage performances, including music, dance, martial arts, Chinese opera, poetry, and magic.
The gala began with a guitar club band, which played several popular songs and quickly lifted the audience's spirits. This was followed by a martial arts performance featuring smooth movements, powerful strikes, and a strong rhythm.
Dance performances were a significant part of the evening. One of the university's dance teams performed a Latin dance routine, while the street dance club excited the audience with high-energy dance movements.
Traditional culture was also a highlight. A poetry club recited classic poems by the legendary poet Li Bai, and a Chinese opera club performed a scene from a traditional opera. Later, dragon and lion dances brought the gala to a lively peak.
Other clubs contributed variety to the event. A musical theater club performed a piece from a known German musical, a magic club presented a classic stage illusion, and an animation club blended contemporary dance with cultural traditions.
Interactive games between performances encouraged the students to take part and kept the atmosphere lively.
Students said the gala provided a platform for clubs to show their interests and talents. For many, it was also a chance to experience the energy of campus culture and the friendships built through student activities.
