Ahead of the Mid-Autumn Festival, the dormitory management service center of Huazhong Agricultural University hosted a traditional cultural immersion event themed "Full Moon Mid-Autumn, Warmth in Shishan Mountain", bringing together over 400 Chinese and international students to celebrate the festival through cultural customs and warm interactions.
The event, held in collaboration with undergraduate and graduate residence hall management committees, featured a wide variety of hands-on activities, including grain collages, lantern making, herbal medicine bracelets, custom refrigerator magnets, and mooncake tasting. First-year student Wu Wenyan shared that being invited by her dormitory supervisor greatly eased her homesickness and brought warmth away from home. Another student, Cao Haoran, noted that participating in these cultural activities enriches campus life and strengthens bonds between peers, transforming residence halls into cozy, loving homes.
International doctoral student Hajar experienced Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival traditions and tasted traditional mooncakes for the first time, expressing great admiration for the depth of Chinese culture. Students also proudly displayed their handmade crafts, took commemorative photos with dormitory supervisors, and captured heartwarming moments of reunion. According to the center's leadership, this celebration serves as part of the cultural brand series, deepening student engagement and enhancing campus belonging.
